psychometric profiling
We have consultants qualified with the British Psychological Society and trained in a number of Level A and B instruments. We use psychometric instruments where appropriate to support individual and team coaching and development. We also have access to assessment and development centre expertise.
Psychometric profiling can help with Talent Management, providing additional insight into strengths and areas for development and helping with career decision making. Most of these instruments are provided online for ease of access and administration as well as paper based.
Ability Tests
We can provide a range of Level A ability tests, including the Team Focus Profiling for Success reasoning tests. These offer a flexible approach to the assessment of reasoning abilities for selection and development purposes. The tests cover thee areas of reasoning abilities: Verbal, Numerical and Abstract. These tests offer both paper and computer-based assessments that can be used with a wide range of ability groups.
Personality Instruments
We offer a wide range of Level B personality instruments. This allows us to choose the most appropriate combination depending on the presenting need.
The Type Dynamics Indicator ®
This instrument is based on Carl Jung’s model of psychological type, one of the most widely used models in management and team development. It’s strength lies in its emphasis on making a virtue of the differences we each have and how to deploy our strengths to best effect.
FIRO Elements
From Will Schutz, this powerful combination of instruments helps individuals and teams develop emotional intelligence and effective relationships.
EIQ3D
An innovative assessment of emotional intelligence available through the Team Focus Profiling for Success online assessment system. Its strength lies in its balance between exploring self-focused and other-focused aspects of emotional intelligence and the ability for a third party to provide feedback.
Values Based Indicator of Motivation (VBIM)
The VBIM provides a comprehensive map of people values and motivations that reflect what is important in the 21st Century. It gives valuable insights for personal and career development.
15FQ+
The questionnaire is a development of Cattell’s 16PF and measures the same 16 personality factors identified by Ray Cattell and his colleagues over 50 years ago. These factors have been much reported and researched and they provide a comprehensive framework for describing significant individual differences. It also derives scores that indicate a person’s likely Leadership Style, Influencing Style, Team Role, Emotional Intelligence, Management and Subordinate Style and Career Themes.
Hogan Development Survey (HDS)
The HDS is based on research into Management Derailment. Assessing the “dark side” of our personality, it provides extremely useful insights alongside normal measures of behaviour, such as the 15FQ+. The HDS opens up, in a non-threatening and non-clinical way, the issue of how great strengths can become significant weaknesses.
We believe that the HDS can provide valuable information to leaders and managers making significant career transitions. They can understand where they might be “at risk” when under pressure and stress in a new context and develop coping strategies before any problems occur.
